Lesson focus
I like to structure my lessons with half the time dedicated to conversation and the other half to grammar.
- During the conversation part, we’ll focus on using verbs in the present, past, and future tenses. We’ll talk about what you enjoy doing, your day, your weekend, and your plans for next week, giving you plenty of opportunities to practice verbs and speak freely.
- In the second part of the lesson, we’ll work on grammar. I will identify where you're making mistakes and what your main difficulties are, and I'll prepare a lesson focused on those areas to help you make faster progress.
Of course, we can also structure the lessons in a way that works best for you!
Lessons materials
I will provide you with all the lesson materials, which will be specially created by me just for you. We’ll also have a shared Google Doc where I’ll write down all the notes and explanations, so you can review them anytime you want. Additionally, I’ll share resources with you, like recommendations for movies, music, websites, games, and more, to help you practice Portuguese at home.
This book is amazing for beginners/people who already know a few basics in Portuguese! Every chapter is a different story. Each chapter begins with objectives, then a quick over view of the verbs that will be used in the story, then it gives you a guide on how to conjugate those verbs, then gives you the story to read. The story is about 6-8 sentences long, and then it gives you a list of vocabulary used in the story that may be new to you. After that, there are a few practice sections and and answer key at the end of the chapter for you to check your work. This book is amazing and a great learning tool for beginning portuguese. I recommend to to one chapter every day and write notes in a seperate notebook of things you want to learn from that lesson. You can’t go wrong with this one!
